Once in a Blue Moon is the third episode of the third season of The Pretender. It first aired on October 31, 1998 on NBC in the United States.

Summary

Jarod becomes a criminal behaviorist in order to save Sarah Rickman, a missing teenager whose abduction mirrors the one of a girl murdered in 1975 by a serial killer called Douglas Willard, also known as "The Blue Moon Killer", who is imprisoned since then.
