Harve Presnell was an American television, stage actor and singer who played Mr. Parker on The Pretender.
Presnell was born on September 14th, 1933. He received a sports scholarship to attend the University of Southern California but rejected it in favour of singing, which he had loved from childhood. Presnell instead, chose to pursue a degree in vocal performance, launching his singing career before the age of 21. He received a Golden Globe award for his first film role, (Johnny Brown) in the cinematic adaptation, by MGM, of the Broadway musical, The Unsinkable Molly Brown, a role he was offered to reprise after the success of the play.
Presnell was the father of five children, two from his first wife, and three from his second (and last) spouse Veeva Suzanne Hablen.[1]
Presnell died in 2009, from pancreatic cancer, at Saint John's Health Center, in Santa Monica, California.
