Gigolo Jarod is the eleventh episode of the second season of The Pretender which first aired February 7, 1998 on NBC in the United States.

Summary

Jarod takes on the role of gigolo to help save a building and uncover a crime that led to a young boy losing his life. He wrote a romance novel which Miss Parker reads. At the end of the episode Jarod sends a Valentine to Miss Parker and makes a customary call to ask her some poignant questions about love.

Recap

Jarod helps save a building that is a low income housing and a home to residents of downtown Detroit. It was in danger of being demolished. Meanwhile, Miss Parker and team chase down clues that reveal Jarod's preparation for his current pretend, including a book he authored and also illustrated the cover for, using Miss Parker as the model.
